About Us
S P Firewood are a Buckinghamshire based firewood supplier. We specialise in high quality hardwood kiln dried firewood logs for your log burner, open fire or other wood burning stoves and boilers. In addition, we sell other associated solid fuel products such as kindling, firelighters and pre-packed coal.
Stephen Pearce has over 30 years experience in the industry. What started as a weekend hobby led to the establishment of a family business in 2008 following his interest in forestry and sustainability. S P Firewood aims to provide excellent quality firewood using environmental and sustainable processes.
Our logs are sourced from sustainably managed woodlands in the UK, as local to our base as possible. The logs are placed in a large heat and humidity controlled kiln and left for seven days until the moisture content reaches under 20% – (when tested the logs are routinely under 15%). The high temperatures of the kiln draw the moisture out of the logs quickly and easily.
Once we are satisfied that an average moisture content is achieved and that our logs can be considered ‘Ready to Burn’, they are ready for delivery to your home or premises.
